no meeting starts before the muppets

Imagine sitting down for a meeting, saying good morning, and then just... starting. No muppets. Nobody made anything. 😬

❌ Don't do this

Keith's Slack avatar Keith 9:00 AM
ok let's get started
Tim's Slack avatar Tim 9:00 AM
wait - where's your muppet art?
Keith's Slack avatar Keith 9:01 AM
I didn't make any

then we're not starting

Keith just tried to run a meeting without showing a single piece of Muppet-themed art. This is not how meetings work, and it hasn't been since 2026.

The muppet requirement isn't red tape - it's the whole point. A meeting without muppets is just people staring at each other, waiting to be disappointed.

The same goes for:

  • "Let's just dive in."
  • "I'll send something later."
  • "Can we skip that part today?"
  • "I forgot, next time I promise."
  • etc.

No muppets, no meeting. 😫

✅ Instead try this

morning! before we start - my muppet art

there it is. now we can begin

great, let's get started

It doesn't have to be good art. It just has to feature the Muppets.

For example:

  • a crayon drawing of a frog taped to your webcam
  • a five-second sketch on a sticky note
  • a felt puppet you made that's "inspired by" a pig
  • etc.

Showing the art first means everyone in the meeting starts from the same place: the muppets have been acknowledged. Skip it, and the meeting cannot proceed.

When done right - everyone's happy! 🎉
